FAQ’s

What are your services?

We install laminate and timber flooring. We can do either glued or floating installs. We also do custom made stairs, including floating stairs and landings, feature timber walls, custom made furniture and barn door sliders.

Gerry is a joiner by trade so if there are any other projects you have in mind; just ask and we might be able to help. Click here to see some projects.

Should I go with a glued install or a floating install?

If you are getting a laminate flooring then you will need to have a floating install. Laminate flooring is designed to move so cannot, and should not, be glued down.

If you are going with timber flooring then you have the option to float it or glue it. Our recommendation is always to glue as this is the best way to install your floor. Gluing the floor is more expensive as it requires a moisture barrier to be applied a day before and also the cost of the glue. We use only the best products to ensure you get the best install possible.

Floating is the less expensive option as underlay acts as the moisture barrier so if cost is an issue then floating your timber floor will save you money.

How do I book with you?

You can contact us by phone or by email and we can set up a meeting for us to come and do a measure up of an existing property or else we can give you a quote from your plans. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions at all.

How far in advance should I book in my job?

As soon as possible! We can book up quickly so as soon as you know a rough date I suggest booking in your install. We do get openings as job dates move around all the time so call us asap if you have a last minute job and we will always do our best to accommodate you.

Do you supply the flooring also?

Yes we can come and give you some samples of timber and laminate products that we recommend in a variety of colours and prices.

We are also happy to install flooring that you have organised yourself.

Are you vaccinated?

Yes, both Gerry and Sarah are double vaccinated. We do believe in free choice and will never discriminate against anyone who has chosen not to be vaccinated.

Please let us know before we show up at your job if you are feeling unwell.

What details do you need from me before you can give me a quote?

  • The size of the job: We can measure your job from plans or we can meet on site and do a measure up person.
  • We need to know whether you would like a floating or a glued install as these are different prices. (Please ask us if you need help with deciding this.)
  • We need your full name, address and email for your official quote.
